Mornings At Malham Cove.

The Yorkshire Home of Harry Potter!

There isn't much in our world that can beat a sunrise - but a sunrise in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales could do it...

A journey worth making. After hiking along the hills and the country lanes of North Yorkshire, I saw the beautiful natural patterned in the limestone and I knew exactly where I was. A wet shine over the rocks adds so much depth to the foreground, as we slowly drift into the background with the rising sun and the famous standalone tree.

Malham Cove is a incredible limestone formation located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in England. This natural wonder is a very popular location for walkers, hikers and nature lovers, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Malham Cove is over 230 feet high and 980 feet wide, and is a result of erosion caused by water from glaciers and streams over thousands of years.

Malham Coves history dates back to the Ice Age, which is when glaciers carved the landscape of the Yorkshire Dales, giving us the rolling hills we know today. The cove itself was formed around 12,000 years ago, as a result of a retreating glacier. In medieval times, the cove was used as a hiding place for outlaws, and later became a popular spot for rock climbing in the 20th century.

Today, Malham Cove is a popular tourist attraction - drawing visitors from all over the world to witness its natural beauty.
