I was drawn to this composition as I loved how it naturally framed itself with the trees and shrubbery. Perfectly framing the house in the centre, with the doorway being the focal point.
Knaresborough's houses are a mix of architectural styles, ranging from medieval to modern. Many of the town's oldest houses are timber-framed, with characteristic black and white Tudor-style exteriors. These houses are particularly prevalent in the historic Market Place area of the town, which features several well-preserved examples.
In addition to the Tudor-style houses, Knaresborough is also home to many Georgian and Victorian houses. These houses were built in the 18th and 19th centuries, during a period of growth and prosperity for the town. They feature elegant facades and ornate details, such as intricate ironwork and decorative stonework.
